Last week someone actually scanned Chewy's tag in online when they
found his collar lying in the alley. They looked up his profile and
dropped his collar in our mailbox for us. How awesome is that?!

constructing a mockup of our backdrop for the ceremony & reception.

I am renting a beautiful white iron stand for the day (the one in the
pics is just a TV stand for temporary display & assembly) to hang the
strands off of. I will also be pinning fabric flowers to it in some
places as well.

Will post a pic when totally complete. This is a great DIY project for
any bride and costs less than $50 (at discount fabric store) and takes
merely a few hours to create.

local wreckers I was SO excited to have it all installed. Well, today
my impatience got the best of me and I decided to tear my cabby apart
and do a seat-swap in the rear by myself.

The whole task took less than an hour. I removed the crappy old seats
(the ripped brown ones with no seat belts) with a little effort (and
vwvortex forum assistance) and installed the new, white vinyl with
pinstripe rear seats and seat belts. I also installed a new boot
(cover) and cleaned everything up with a magic eraser and warm soapy
water.

This is just one of the MANY things that need to be fixed/installed on
my little pink project car - but I'm pretty proud that I'm doing it
all on my own - even if it takes me a little longer AND I break a few
nails along the way. I love my car.

In the
summers we spend our days lounging at the lake. In the winter; we
snowmobile and snowboard.

During the spring (and fall) our favorite pastime is to rip around on
our Honda trail bikes and quads. Upon our arrival earlier today, we
were greeted with an off-road trip to the nearby river.

I drove one of the trail bikes while Jeddy rode on the quad with one
of my little sisters. So fun as always!

Usually I would
bring a bottle of wine for the host, but today I was feeling
exceptionally domestic and opted for a cake.

This is my own creation - an Amarula Mango cake made with vanilla
cake, Amarula liqueur, mango purée and fresh sliced mango.

I'll let you all know how it tastes since I've only sampled the
frosting so far ;)
