It hasn’t even been a week and I’m feeling discouraged. How disappointing. I have NOT, however, given up or wavered from my path… I’m sticking to the eating plan, omitting sugar/dairy and drinking TONS of water (especially fresh squeezed lemon water).

I am discouraged because, in the time since I started this whole slow-carb/clean eats thing.. I’ve gained pounds (I try not to weigh myself, but I did.. so whatever), been super bloated, super irritable and I have woken up with a headache nearly every morning. Oh, and I’m also super tired and napping during the day (I get up at 6:30am).

Tell me, for those of you who have been in a journey like this… was it this tough in the beginning for you? And how long does this stage of misery last before things level out and start toward the up and up?.. I’m curious and need to know that I’m not the only one who puts proteins and veggies in my body and gains more weight/bloating than on fried foods and McD’s. Ugh fml.
